FOCUS ON TRILAM TECHNOLOGY
Innovation and Reliability
Producer of technical textiles since 2004, mainly for the nautical market, our constant R&D efforts have focused on a reliable and sustainable process, in order to best exploit the intrinsic properties of fibers and textile materials.
With our expertise in weaving, filament coating, laminating and complexing, our range of membranes for sailmakers is the widest on the market, offering spinnakers, gennakers, flat or storm sails, for an IMOCA in the Vendée Globe, a Wally, or a leisure Dayboat.
Thanks to the integration of our process on our Najac site in Aveyron, we have been committed since 2020 to an ambitious CSR program, essentially focused on reducing the environmental impact of our activity and our sector, in particular through our productions integrating bio-sourced components (see TRILam Biotex).

GLOBE 40 - Victoire dans le tour du monde en class 40
161
sea days
33 311
miles traveled
This is the HAYAI Class 40 SEC race with a single set of standard TRILam sails (Sprint Offshore range, ref. TDBT).
The Dutch victory is the result of rigorous and intelligent work. Starting from the observation that their Class 40 was the oldest in the fleet and theoretically the slowest, they worked on all the aspects that could allow them to compensate for this initial handicap. In the end, an exemplary victory that honors this first edition of the GLOBE40.

TRANSAT JAQUES VABRES 2023
4 seasons
without any failures
More and more boats are sailing with TRILam membranes on board, thanks to their great longevity. It is not uncommon to see racers using sails with more than 4 seasons in Class40.
In IMOCA, some preparation sails or those from the 2016 and 2020 Vendée Globe are still sailing.
Noteworthy is Roland Jourdain's second place on a 60-foot Outremer catamaran, with a composite flax fiber deck and 40% flax fiber in its mainsail. These sails have sailed more than 16,000 miles without maintenance, demonstrating the reliability of natural fibers when used correctly.

16
teams equipped in 12 years
While in 2020, our 6 competitors completed this round the world race without any problem with the ageing of the TRILam sails, a large number of them then sailed in preparation for the next Vendée Globe 2024.
There are still 6 IMOCAs that will set off in November 2024 for this tenth edition.

R&D program:
bio-sourced fibers
By nature, CLM seeks to reduce its environmental impacts.
In this regard, since 2017, we have tested linen fibers produced in Normandy.
Then, in 2020, CLM-TriLam embarked on an ambitious R&D program with four partners (Sté All Purpose, Sté Kairos Environnement and Université Bretagne Sud).
This program, supported by ADEME, is a commitment to eco-designed sails, with a reduced environmental impact, and manufactured in France.
